OPSWAT Academy, a global leader in cybersecurity education with a focus on Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), is proud to announce its newest academic partnership with Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) in Indonesia. This marks a pivotal expansion of OPSWAT Academy’s presence in Asia, building on its global education initiative, which has previously established academic collaborations primarily across Europe and Africa.
The partnership is part of the OPSWAT Academy Scholarship Program, a global initiative designed to provide students with complimentary access to premium training and internationally recognized certifications in CIP cybersecurity. Through this collaboration, UBB students, particularly those in Electronics Engineering and Information Technology, will gain direct exposure to global-standard training that enhances both their technical skills and professional readiness.
UBB fully supports this initiative as it aligns with our vision to become a leading research university with excellence in morality, intellect, and technical capacity. We welcome this opportunity as a major step forward for our students to gain internationally recognized, job-ready certifications.
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim, M.Si.

Expanding our academic network into Asia is a significant step in our mission. UBB brings a strong academic culture and a forward-thinking approach to technology education. We are excited to collaborate with an institution that shares our vision for developing cybersecurity talent capable of protecting critical infrastructure worldwide.

With strong synergy between UBB and OPSWAT Academy, this program is envisioned to run sustainably as part of the university’s technology development, digital infrastructure enhancement, and research agenda. Beyond improving individual student outcomes, the initiative will also contribute to regional and national cybersecurity resilience, positioning UBB as a hub for advanced cybersecurity education in Indonesia.
UBB is the only state university in the Bangka Belitung Islands, Indonesia. Officially established as a public institution in 2010, UBB now serves over 10,000 students across six faculties. Its mission centers on producing graduates with strong ethical values, innovation skills, and global competencies.
OPSWAT Academy offers leading CIP cybersecurity training and certification programs designed to equip individuals and organizations with practical knowledge and skills needed to protect critical infrastructure. Through innovative and hands-on learning experiences, OPSWAT Academy bridges the CIP cybersecurity skills gap globally.
